The heartbeat also has a repeating sound pattern of 'forget, forget', which is called Rhythm. Heart rate is measured in terms of time it can be fast or slow. Whereas Rhythm is considered a musical pattern in time. In general, a tempo is measured as the number of beats per minute where the beat is a basic measure of time in music. Thank you for fixing the 50 BPM minimum limit that was in VDJ7! I have a number of songs in the 40 BPM to 50 BPM range that no longer misreport in VDJ8.If defined briefly, the tempo is how fast or slow a piece of music is performed, while rhythm is the placement of sound at its time in a regular and repetitive pattern. I hope this is a popular item for others. I could live in VDJ and not have to do the crazy extra steps I need to get the MP3 files looking good and have the MP3 file updates already be in VDJ. It would be great if being able to save the BPM rate back to the MP3 file were possible. Until then, I am blowing the VDJ data base file away and letting the PC run over night to get the BPMs that are not already in the MP3 files recreated. My goal is to have a BPM for every song, eventually. The longest part of doing this is calculating the BPM rate. I end up deleting it and having VDJ recreate it. As you can guess, the VDJ database file gets way out of sync. I end up using another application to manage the MP3 tags. If there is a reasonable way to do this, I just am missing it. So, I have not found a way to have the VDJ BPM I save write to the actual MP3 file.

VDJ does this (*), but often doubles, halves, and sometimes just plain misses the speed. One that I use a lot is BPM, which I used to manually count and enter into this database. and carry a PC with me on DJs to search and find songs on many criteria. Before MP3, I would catalog songs in a database. I have hundreds of CDs (many thousands of Songs) that I have collected since 1984.
